Rebrand Copy Rules

✕ Never do this✓ Do this instead
Write "(formerly Superior Biz Solutions)" in parentheses anywhere on the siteParentheses read as a disclaimer. Nearby makes claims, not disclaimers.
Hide the rebrand or apologise for itOwn it. Every piece of transition content should make the change feel like a deliberate upgrade.

If the transition reference is needed during the first 1–2 months, place it above the hero headline as a clean one-line statement:

Superior Biz Solutions is now Nearby.

Then lead straight into the hero. After the transition period (approx. 2 months post full launch), this line gets removed entirely.

15
Redirect Strategy

Phase 1: April 20 — SBS Hero Page (no redirect)

The SBS domain does NOT redirect on April 20. The site is stripped to a single hero section with one message and one CTA.

superiorbizsolutions.com homepage:
  H1: "Superior Biz Solutions is now Nearby."
  CTA Button: "Take me there →" [links to nearby.team]
  Nothing else. No nav. No paragraphs. No explanation.
No parentheses anywhere on the SBS hero page. Not "(formerly Superior Biz Solutions)" — not anywhere. The copy makes the statement, the button handles the redirect.

Phase 2: ~September 2026 — 301 Redirect Activates

Approximately 2 months after the full marketing launch, once traffic has naturally migrated. All redirects: 301 (permanent). Server/CDN level — not JS or meta refresh. Never chain redirects.

DomainRedirect targetType
superiorbizsolutions.comnearby.team301
www.superiorbizsolutions.comnearby.team301
superior-biz-solutions.comnearby.team301
www.nearby.teamnearby.team301 (day one)
All other owned SBS domainsnearby.team301

Submit GSC change of address (superiorbizsolutions.com → nearby.team) after 301 activates. Audit for redirect chains 30 days post-activation.

16
Core Web Vitals
MetricTargetWhat it measures
LCPUnder 2.5sHow fast the main content loads
INPUnder 200msHow fast the page responds to clicks
CLSUnder 0.1Whether elements move while loading

YouTube Shorts Embed Container (mandatory — prevents CLS)

<div style="position:relative;padding-bottom:177.78%;height:0;overflow:hidden;">
  <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/[VIDEO_ID]"
    style="position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100%;"
    frameborder="0" allowfullscreen loading="lazy">
  </iframe>
</div>

Hero Image (prevents LCP failure)

<link rel="preload" as="image" href="/images/hero.jpg" />
<img src="/images/hero.jpg" fetchpriority="high" alt="..." width="1440" height="640" />
Never lazy-load the hero image. Never use youtube.com/shorts/[ID] as embed src — always youtube.com/embed/[ID].
17
Image SEO
  • Alt text: Describe what the image shows. No keyword stuffing.
  • File names: Descriptive, hyphenated, lowercase. Good: remote-bookkeeper-latin-america.jpg
  • Format: WebP preferred (30–50% smaller than JPG). JPG fallback.
  • Compression: Under 200KB content images · Under 100KB thumbnails.
  • Hero images: fetchpriority="high" + preload in <head>. Never lazy-load.
  • All images: Must have explicit width and height attributes to prevent CLS.
18
Crawlability & Indexation

Use both robots.txt AND meta robots on excluded pages.

<!-- Transactional pages — permanent noindex -->
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" />

<!-- Phase 2 pages until launched -->
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow" />

noindex, follow = Google won’t index but follows internal links. Link equity flows. Safer than nofollow.

PageIndex?
All /hire/* pagesYes
/referral, /blog/*, /resources/*Yes
/talent/*, /for/*, /compare/*No until Phase 2
/hire/brief, /hire/submit, /thank-youNo — permanent
/privacy, /termsNo — permanent
19
HTTPS & Security
  • HTTPS on all pages. HTTP → HTTPS at server level (not JS).
  • SSL auto-renewal configured.
  • HSTS header: Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=31536000; includeSubDomains
20
Google Search Console

Full Launch Day

  • Verify nearby.team property
  • Submit https://nearby.team/sitemap.xml
  • Request indexing: homepage + one role page per category (7 total)
  • Set preferred domain (non-www)
  • Confirm all SBS redirect domains resolve correctly

Week 2

  • Coverage report — flag crawl errors
  • Core Web Vitals report — flag LCP/CLS failures
  • Confirm breadcrumbs parsed (Enhancements → Breadcrumbs)
  • Confirm FAQ rich snippets parsed (Enhancements → FAQs)
21
Hosting Requirements
RequirementRecommendation
HostingVercel, Netlify, or Cloudflare Pages — edge CDN built in
CDNCloudflare (free tier sufficient at launch)
Image deliveryCloudflare Images or CMS-native optimization
DNS TTL300 seconds during launch week

Avoid shared hosting (GoDaddy, Bluehost) — TTFB will fail LCP targets on mobile.

22
404 Error Page

Custom 404 required at launch. Must include:

  • "This page doesn’t exist" message
  • Link to homepage
  • Link to /hire hub
  • Same header and footer as the rest of the site
23
SBS → Nearby Redirect Map
This redirect map activates ~September 2026 — approximately 2 months after the full marketing launch. Not on April 20. The SBS site runs a hero page first. See Section 15 for the full redirect strategy.

Decision Log
No pricing page
Removed entirely
Talent using published rates as leverage in compensation conversations.
No blanket homepage rate
Rates at role page level only
Undersells specialized roles. Entry-level rate creates wrong expectation for senior buyers.
Domain
nearby.team
.team TLD indexes correctly. Brand-aligned. No SEO penalty.
7 categories
Sales & Marketing, Customer Experience, Operations & Admin, Finance & Accounting, Brand & Creative, E-Commerce, Technology
Combined where same buyer owns budget. Split where buyer profile is genuinely different.
No client logos on site
Talent credential bar (prior employers) instead
Competitors may solicit existing clients. Many clients prefer outsourcing to remain private. Prior-employer logos answer the buyer's actual fear ("will I get capable people?").
Talent credential bar phrasing
"Our talent has previously worked at:"
Never "trusted by" or "clients include" — those imply a commercial relationship that doesn't exist.
Anonymous talent profiles
No names, no identifying info
Privacy and operational protection. YouTube Shorts (unlisted) provides humanization without exposure.
YouTube Shorts embed format
youtube.com/embed/[ID] not youtube.com/shorts/[ID]
Shorts URL breaks embed aspect ratio on desktop.
Numbers reframing
$1.5M+ savings, 300K+ pool, 150K+ hours, 3-5yr retention
75 active seats is an internal metric. All four numbers are 100% accurate, framed from their most powerful angle.
$55K US equivalent anchor
Used in copy to demonstrate savings
Conservative fully-loaded cost (salary + 30% burden) for admin/operations roles. Defensible in a sales call.
Referral bar
Sticky, site-wide, activates full launch day
Activates existing clients and contacts as distribution channel immediately. Borrowed from Somewhere's playbook.
Content upgrades over generic CTAs
Templates in posts rather than sidebar subscribe
2–5x conversion rate vs generic newsletter CTA.
Fashion/apparel as priority vertical
First to build — zero competition in search
Zero competitor presence + Nearby has actual placement proof + specific buyer search terms.
Phase 2 is performance-based
Not calendar-based
Empty pages are worse than no pages. Talent showcase needs min 3 candidate profiles per role before going live.
RemoFirst excluded from competitors
Different category
RemoFirst is an EOR SaaS tool. Different buyer, different budget, different use case.
LATAM only at launch
Not going global
Nearby's actual talent pool is LATAM. Going global without the pipeline would be dishonest positioning.
Talent showcase Essential vs Specialized
Two tiers per category page
Essential = roles any business in that category will hire. Specialized = roles requiring more specific context or seniority. Grouping helps buyers self-qualify faster.
Talent showcase profiles are anonymous
No names, no location beyond Latin America, no employer names
Privacy and operational protection. YouTube Shorts provides humanization without exposure.
25
Talent Showcase — Full Architecture

The talent showcase is Phase 2. It lives at /talent/ and is noindex until Phase 2 conditions are met. It is a separate section from the main /hire/* architecture — different purpose, different buyer stage. /hire is for decision-stage buyers. /talent is for consideration-stage buyers who want to see who they’re hiring before committing to a conversation.

Phase 1 (internal, not on website): PDF talent portfolios for each role — 3 candidate profiles per role, designer-produced one-pager, stored on SharePoint. Used in sales calls and lead follow-ups.

Phase 2 (website, public): Dedicated landing pages per category and per role. Each role page shows 3 anonymous candidate profiles with embedded YouTube Shorts. Feeds directly into /contact.
